Helpful Products to Have On-Hand

  • Postpartum Bloomers - Bao Bei is the brand I mentioned earlier. You can use “drannie” for 15% off your first purchase.

  • Frida Mom - disposable bloomers I loved. Something to note: I’ve had a few people have some skin sensitivities to the material, so just keep in mind. Most have no issue.

  • Pads for postpartum bleeding - get ‘em nice and thick!

  • Ice Pack - to help manage acute pain and swelling after surgery.

  • Collagen supplements - there are few studies done on rats that show collagen supplementation helped with healing of incisions. Something to keep in mind if you want to supplement during your healing phase.

  • Scar patches - silicone patches are helpful to improve scar appearance and promote healing. Downside is they are pricey to use long term.

  • Peri-bottle - I like the Frida brand but any kind will do. You will want to use this as long as you have postpartum bleeding.

  • Squatty potty - for easier poops. Squatty potty puts the pelvic floor muscles in a relaxed position to decrease strain. Is a staple for all households in my opinion!

  • Magnesium citrate - MD may recommend an over the counter stool softener, or look into supplementing with magnesium citrate. I like the Natural Calm powder to mix in water or their gummies.

  • Abdominal binder - I like Bodily Belly Band, but any simple velcro binder will work. Avoid the ones with elaborate strapping. Sometimes the hospital will provide these.

  • Cupping set for scar mobilization - will definitely use this for mobilizing scar tissue after the scar is healed.
