Reps: 16 (8 each side)

  • Walk your hands out into a high plank position.

  • Drive one foot outside your palms feeling a stretch through both hips.

  • Rotate towards the front knee and extend the top arm to open through the chest. Gaze will follow the top hand.

  • Hold for a few moments - or longer if desired.

  • Drive the leg back and switch sides.

  • Perform steady breathing here. Focus on lengthening, increasing range of motion and warming up the body.

  • There should be no painful pulling, just gentle stretching through the body.

Modifications:

  • Drop the back knee down to the floor.

  • Decrease range of motion to whatever feels comfortable and therapeutic for you.
